CAROTENOL
CAROTENOL

CAROTENOL is a developer which energy content is made with hydrocarbon substances. It has been created to increase the stocks of photo-assimilates in leaves and fruits as during the flowering and setting period as during the growth (cell elongation) one. Its main purpose is to induce an early fruit maturation.

Using CAROTENOL the number of carbohydrates really increases in the new leaves, but particularly in the old leaves which feed the developing fruit with photo-assimilables that it needs.

The hydrocarbon substances contained in the fruit take a part in: - In the biochemical process of extreme maturation: accelerating the progressive decomposition of the bark green pigments which are chlorophylls. These are replaced by orangey pigments, the carotenoids. It also has effects on the bark nitrogen concentration which is decreased. - In the process of internal maturation: increasing the number of juice-soluble sugar and reducing its acidity

Dose

Citrus

- First application: 200 – 400 grams per 100 litres of water when 40 – 50% of the petals are fallen, added to the setting treatment

- Second application: 200 – 400 grams per 100 litres of water for “clementines” of 10 and 15 mm in diameter and for oranges of 25 and 30mm in diameter. Use it with the fattening treatment

- Third application: 200 – 400 grams per 100 litres of water on the 30th day of the fattening treatment. It is possible to make this treatment several times with the anti-plague one during summer coinciding with coloration period. We advise to use a plant oil such as Natur Oil because of the mutual incompatibility with mineral oils.

Fruit

- First application: 0,2 – 0,4 % during the setting period.

- Second application: 0,2 – 0,4 % for developing fruit.

- Third application: 0,2 – 0,4 %.
